This artwork depicts a sun-drenched Mediterranean village where colorful boats rest on calm waters at the foot of red-roofed houses. The scene is created with thick brushstrokes and generous texture, giving the landscape an almost tactile presence.

Through this scene, Maryvonne sought to convey a sense of peace, slowness, almost nostalgia, the idea of a place where time seems suspended.

This painting is one of many landscapes she created out of her love for Provence.
