The canvas shows a line of illuminated buildings, suggested by vertical red, yellow, and white strokes. These lights extend downwards as reflections, as if on a calm water surface. The sky, rendered in very dark tones, occupies the upper part of the painting. The luminous areas stand out sharply against the black background, creating a strong contrast that structures the whole. The superimposition of colors in the reflections enhances the depth effect.
